DVD now available http://t.co/qSnbydVB Pas des Deesses was one of Robert Joffrey's earliest ballets and is a tribute to an 1846 print by the artist Jacques Bouvier that captured the romantic style of the ballet. A rivalry of 19th century ballerinas Marie Taglioni, Lucile Grahn, Fanny Cerrito being judged by Arthur Saint-Leon, the famous dancer/choreographer, asked to choose the most beautiful of the three.
