Rachel Klein's dance drama, The Tragedy of Maria Macabre, premiered at Dixon Place in NYC in March of 2011. The silent skeleton opera of dance and movement will have an extended run in NYC in October, 2011. Upon dying, Maria Macabre is not granted eternal slumber, but instead a whirling, kaleidoscopic carnival of horrors: a morbid funhouse where humanity is stripped away and a permanent place in the gruesome chorus line is all but assured
