alp – n. (german folklore): mystical elven demon who sneaks into bedrooms through the keyhole in the dead of night to sit on one’s chest and steal one’s breath.
ENCORE Dance Company was founded in 2009 by director/choreographer Marie Hoffman. Based in Southern California, the mission of this choreographer is to provide quality performance opportunities for her dancers both nationally and internationally. This piece made it’s concert premiere in May, 2010, to enthusiastic reviews by sold out audiences. Please enjoy alpdrücken.
