Sheryl Dowling, founder and director of The Dance Club in Orem, Utah, and co-director Allison Thonton, rehearse the Senior Company number "Mr. Monotony," choreographed by Joey Dowling. In this particular video, the girls run the entire number and then Sheryl talks about how even though they are all standing taller in their high heels, they need to think (and stretch) their legs longer in every line, even when they're sitting in the chairs! This number has won multiple awards, including NYCDA's Critics Choice in Salt Lake City in October; the highest score of the competition at West Coast Dance Explosion in Salt Lake City in January; and the Entertainment Award at Onstage NY in Salt Lake City in February. With instructions from Sheryl (AND Alli), they'll be sure to do amazing at the nationals they'll be attending in Las Vegas in June!
