#InfiniteInclusion The Park by Infinite Flow - A Wheelchair Dance Company

I believe each person has a dancer inside of him/her, and deserves to find that dancer within. Dance is transformational and empowering for each individual and can change people's lives in many positive ways. Dancing boosts confidence and life energy. Embracing the dancer within creates greater fulfillment, positivity, and power to achieve. My name is Marisa Hamamoto, and I am the producer of the video and the Founder & Artistic Director of Infinite Flow, based in Los Angeles and also America's 1st professional wheelchair ballroom dance company. In 2006, I was temporarily paralyzed from the neck down with a rare spinal cord disease and was told by the doctor that I may never walk or dance again... Today I am back on my feet and dancing professionally. To give back, I founded Infinite Flow in March 2015, with a mission to lead a social movement for inclusion through dance and innovation, and we are committed to increasing access to quality dance instruction for people with disabilities in inclusive environments and building a world-class professional dance company, which includes dancers with and without disabilities as a vehicle to break stereotypes and perceived barriers. More on me in this NowThis video (3M+ views)This short video, which includes members of both Infinite Flow Kids and Infinite Flow's pro dance troupe (I'm the Asian female dancer), depicts why I created Infinite Flow.
