Ms. Avery Gay
Avery Gay is an 11 year old from Scottsdale Arizona. She danced in her first dance recital when she 4 years old and was completely hooked on the feeling you get from being on stage. She began taking classes in all genres of dance and attending dance competitions at age 5. At a young age Avery quickly learned how much she loves the challenge of competing and the thrill of entertaining an audience. When Avery turned 7 she began taking ballet technique with renowned Polish ballet dancer Irena Wosniak at Master Ballet Academy. It wasn't long before Avery started learning the importance of ballet. She is motivated by the results she sees from all the hard work and dedication it requires. Avery's most recent accomplishments include being named 2015 Mini Female Best Dancer at the Las Vegas Dance Awards under the direction of Harrison Stevenson. In February, Avery was honored to receive the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix Hope Award in Las Vegas. This led to her inaugural trip to the YAGP Finals in New York City where she was very proud to receive the Bronze medal in the pre-competitive division. During the past dance season Avery was also awarded the NYCDA Mini Outstanding dancer and ASH Apprentice titles. One of Avery's most cherished accomplishments is dancing the role of Clara in the 2014 Phoenix Ballet performance of the Nutcracker. She has danced in the Nutcracker under the direction of Slawomir Wosniak for the past three years and has grown as a performer from his outstanding guidance. In 2014 she was named L. A. Dance Magic National Junior Performer of the Year and National title winner. Over the past few seasons, Avery has received 1st overall for her solos at NUVO, JUMP, 24Seven, LADM, KAR, Cathy Roes Ultimate Dance Challenge, Hollywood Vibe, Primetime, Showbiz and Starsystems. She also holds the titles for regional Miss Junior KAR and Miss Petite KAR. She has enjoyed dancing at Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Danspiration and the Suns and Globetrotter halftime shows. Currently, Avery trains full time at Master Ballet Academy. She holds a position on the Limitless team at MBA and is mainly focused on her ballet training. She is following her dream of becoming a principle ballerina.
