Truth Is A Lie: Realization June 9, 2008 | Deathica | More on Modern
This is a dance I choreographed in the fall of 2005. There are two different…of this piece. Truth is A Lie: Realization and Truth is A Lie: Denial. It was choreographed for The Post Concert Dance Company's 2005 Fall Diversity Concert. This piece uses Nine Inch Nails' song "Right Where It Belongs". The basis of this dance is that we basically always want what we don't have. The more ballet oriented dancer doesn't want all the fame of a ballerina instead she wants the feeling of dancing for herself, and the modern oriented dancer wants to be famous for her dancing. In the end they realize that they both want something else altogether.Read More
